Dr. Thompson is a current member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) and has obtained the title Associate Fellow through the AAID by obtaining over 1075 hours in continuing education exclusively in implant dentistry. This process of obtaining the title associate fellow is a rigorous endeavor which entails passing a written examination, an oral examination before an expert board panel and case presentation of Dental Implant Cases he had completed on his own patients. Implant-Supported Dentures

Bone Grafts

Also called regenerative surgery, a bone graft is used to recreate bone and soft supporting tissues lost due to periodontitis. Platelet-Rich Plasma

Platelet-rich plasma is obtained from a small sample of the patient’s own blood. It is centrifuged to separate platelet growth factors from red blood cells. The concentration of platelets triggers rapid growth of new bone and soft tissue. There is very little risk because we are accelerating the natural process in which the body heals itself.
